Biomed Training

Description/Content

This course provides the information necessary to maintain, troubleshoot and repair the Fluoroscan Insight and Insight FD systems. Course format is lecture/lab with multimedia presentations. The training is approximately sixty per cent hands-on.

Course Prerequisites

Attendees of this course need to have a basic knowledge of computers, electronics and X-ray theory. Attendees must be fluent in the English language. Prior experience servicing medical equipment or X-ray systems is helpful but not necessary.

This course is intended for service personnel responsible for the maintenance and problem resolution of Hologic Fluoroscan Insight and Insight FD systems.

  • Describe the Fluoroscan system maintenance philosophy
  • Locate and identify the function of major system components
  • Locate and describe the system operator controls
  • Operate the Fluoroscan system
  • Remove and replace field replaceable components
  • Perform field adjustments and calibration
  • Perform the preventative maintenance procedure
  • Describe how to get help and spare parts

  • Planned Maintenance (PM) procedure

Course Cost

The course tuition fee is US $3,400 per attendee. Tuition payment (check or approved purchase order) is due at time of registration. Attendees are responsible for all other expenses, including airfare, ground transportation, meals and lodging. Please note that course auditing and recording devices (audio or video) are not permitted.
