This course focuses on how to operate, calibrate, service and troubleshoot the Hologic Fluoroscan Insight FD mini C-arm system.

Course Duration: 3 Days

This course is intended for Biomedical Engineers responsible for the calibration, maintenance and problem resolution for Hologic Fluoroscan Insight FD mini C-arm system.

Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required to be successful in this class.

Prior knowledge and skills in these areas are recommended, but not required to be successful in this class:

  • X-ray systems
  • X-ray theory and image quality
  • Basic electricity and electronics skills
  • An understanding of the Windows OS
  • Background in basic networking and DICOM

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Describe the Fluoroscan system maintenance philosophy
  • Locate and identify the function of major system components
  • Locate and describe the system operator controls
  • Operate the Fluoroscan system
  • Remove and replace field replaceable components
  • Perform field adjustments and calibration
  • Perform the planned maintenance procedure
  • Describe how to get help
  • Fluoroscan system overview and maintenance philosophy
